The lake was perfect for barefooting this morning. After a couple of hours in the boat we went off roading. Carl on his motorbike and Elly and I behind Adam on the ATV. The trails were beautiful, the weather was perfect and Elly loved it. Especially the muddy parts. We may never get away for a holiday it to much fun right where we are.
Special thanks to Lene for providing our campers with a great Horseback Riding experience.
Karen you're welcome to have Syd's birthday party here. It would be fun!

Summer camp is over. Can you believe it? We decided to go on a camping adventure. We set up the tent on the beach and that's where we stayed. LOL We took the whole family tubing. Elly loved it, but poor Layla couldn't hang on. Thank goodness she's a good swimmer! That same afternoon we went for the most beautiful bike ride down some old railway beds. There were colorful flowers everywhere. We stopped to eat some wild raspberries and Adam took us for a warm slimy hike with the bikes through a swampy area. FUN!
Congrats to all the Figure Skating tests passed last Friday and to Bronze Cross tests. Everyone work hard and deserved their success.
Thanks to our wonderful judges again, Wendy and Karen.

P.S. Can wait to see what Adam wants us to do today?

Last Thursday night Adam blew something up in the boat's motor, while he was teaching some staff barefooting. Unbelievable, Adam never pushes the limit! LOL
Sooo.... on Friday we thought he was getting the motor fixed, but he showed up with a new crossover boat, an Air Nautique 216. A great boat for wake boarding with a tower and ballasts but also excellent on the slalom course. It's beautiful and something we'll use. The campers are very excited. After all it is for them.
We are still fixing the other boat. We will use it with the boom for teaching new skills.

Tonight I'm watching the Intense Water Sports group going 2 at a time behind the boat. They've improved so fast - it's crazy! They're enjoying Devyn as a boat driver in the mornings.
Our new dance instructor/councilor, Mallory, is very popular. Everyone loves to dance. Variety night has many great dance routines, can't wait to see them this week.
Special thanks to Lisa for providing us with delicious fruit trays and muffins every day.

Camp is off to a great start. We've met some wonderful kids from Spain. We are all trying new languages this week.
Everyone went swimming and sliding in the rain. They loved it! Then we all did bead buddies in the new Arts & Craft room. After dinner we had some fun with our introduction gathering, and the dry land training for water sports; and then the bonfire.
Special thanks goes out to Kyle for arriving a day early to help with the kids for Spain.

The guys went barefooting early this morning. Allan bailed the hardest and Carl had a bobble head? Sounds like fun?
Allan stopped in for a visit and hooked up some big outside speaker for playing music in the backyard. It's going to be great. THANKS.
Carl's store is stacked and ready for business!
Camp starts tomorrow. Yeh!

Today started with a baby bunny hopping around the rope course and then hiding under the Arts & Crafts building. Next the baby bird tried flying in the craft room and landed in a laundry basket. Then Elly and I went down to the beach hut to paint some trim and I found a hornets nest. When I was moving things around Elly climbed the big ladder to the top, said she we being a monkey. My painting job isn't the best! In the evening Elly and I saw a family of ground hogs. On our way to bed the ducks were visiting the beach.
My special thanks goes out to Dwayne, the cook, for helping with the first BIG food order.

Elly & I saw a baby turtle swimming, while she was fishing with her new little fishing rod.
The water has been perfect for Bare Footing. Adam's been up a few times. Looks like this is going to be a favor evening activity this summer.
Carl and I went shopping for his store supplies today. He bought lots of goodies!
My special thanks goes out to my dad, Brad, who ran electricity to our new arts & crafts room; Carl's store; and the kitchen. Perfect, we needed it! I can't believe how much time was spent crawling under the main building.
Camp starts in 4 days. Can't wait!

Carl's hockey team had their end of year party here at the camp yesterday. It was so much FUN!
They started with the Rock Wall and Ropes Course. Congrats to all that climbed the wall. Then we had a BBQ lunch. Then we spent the afternoon on the beach. Adam put the raft in again!
We all had a laugh watching Craig launch the kids off the tubes. Congrats to all the new water skiers - Dillon, Jason, Dakota, Rylan, Jesse & Nick. You guys were great!
My special thanks goes out to Karl for being the BBQ king.

Finally a raining day, the new grass and gardens will love it!
You'll be happy to know the baby birds are doing well. They are growing so fast. Carl got to watch them being fed.
Adam and Carl were catching fish off the dock and Elly was vibrating with excitement. She woke in the middle of the night calling for "a hanger to catch a little tiny one". Now she says she needs a little fishing rod.
We now have electricity to the Arts & Craft building! YEH
My special thanks goes out to all who reads my blog. Hi KAREN!

Today the water temperature is at +22. Adam put the floating raft in and tied the slide to it, shortly after it floated away. Soo.... Carl stood on the raft hanging on to the ski rope while Adam, and the boat, pulled them back. Carl was riding the raft like it was a large wakeskate! LOL
Room #6 is now painted light purple and Carl's new store is painted red.
We had a couple of friendly deer slowly waltz up the driveway tonight. They stayed long enough for Elly to decide that they are now hers.
Special thank goes out to Graham who is always willing to help with a big smile on his face.

Wow, today Elly and I watch a humming bird feed from our new feeder. THEN the robin's eggs, that are in the nest on the windowsill of the arts & craft room, hatched. We can sit in the craft room and watch the baby birds. Breath taking!
The staff training was great. We have a great group of young adults that are going to add to our summer fun. We had a beautiful day for water sports.
My special thanks goes out to the Rock Wall and Ropes Course instructor, Peter. Adam will never forget the tire swings.

Hi Kim and Adam,
Thank you both for my great camp experience. You are both amazing
skating coaches and you made skating so much fun, as well, I learned a
lot.
I also loved having the opportunity to wakeboard, waterski, canoe, and kayak. This camp truly has it all.
I hope I have the opportunity to participate in the leadership program next summer.
Thank you again,
Emily
