We had a great weekend at the Lacrosse qualifiers in Whitby.

The Huntsville Hawks Midget Team made it to provincials!

We had the coolest group of guys here last weekend!

The tubing was hilarious. One of the canoes tipped. A coach got tossed in the lake. A couple of guys won shirts for making it across the long rope. Elly enjoyed carrying the worms for the scavenger hunt...lol All in all "the best team building weekend ever!"

I think the boys learnt lots about each other.

Thanks you Eric for bringing them up to camp, you have become part of our camp family.

BIG THANKS to Isaac for a solid job well done! I couldn't have done it with out you!

The camp is ALIVE

.....with teenage boys on a team building weekend. Today was about fort building, archery, kayak relays, canoe racing, scavenger hunts, table tennis tournament, capture the flag, team building games, fire building and yes...TUBING. Looking forward to ropes and rock wall tomorrow.

As the winter days draw my cold breaths out in the air,

My thoughts turn to your camp and the beautiful lakefront there.

Grin’s tuck shop and cabins, being there - being free,

to explore everything that’s usually locked up inside me.

It’s a place where I can put my imagination to rest,

every summer I go, it’s where I am at my best.

The lakefront and dinning hall never far from my mind,

It’s the memories that remain with me, all of the time.

Thank you WinTec for giving me a place to call my own

It’s my summer time place - my summertime home.

The ducks are swimming near the dock.

The wood pecker is loud!

The owl is always hooting at Elly. She hoots back...lol

and the many different little birds are out singing away.

The snow is melting away and our camp is a big mud puddle.

Elly says " It's a beautiful day to play in the mud!"

It worries me watching the snowmobiles racing across the lake. Doesn't look to safe!

Amazing Althletes

Huntsville hosted the OFSAA Cross Country Ski Championships. They filled the downtown streets with snow and the team sprints raced there. It was very cool. Our Huntsville High School Athletes where amazing, and the results were incredible. I’m proud to say Carl was on the Junior A Team that took Gold in the Combined Sprints.

Purchased new cameras for the councillors to use all summer. We all know they take the best pictures and we want more more more.
